Case Studies
Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority
The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (RWSA) produces safe drinking water for public water customers in the City of Charlottesville, portions of Albemarle County, and the University of Virginia. Serving a population of ~120,000, the RWSA also treats wastewater to safely return unused drinking water to the Rivanna and James rivers.
Edgemont Highlands Development Balances Community and Nature
Edgemont Highlands is a multi-family development seeking to provide a natural mountain living experience through architecturally integrated homes and shared access to the natural surroundings. Situated on over 500 acres of land, the community is only a few minutes away from downtown Durango, which provides easy access to local shops and restaurants.
Hobart Flood Mitigation
Challenge
Incomplete and outdated floodplain modeling data was preventing the City of Hobart from effectively prioritizing projects.
Solution
The SEH team helped convert old data to modern platforms and complete new modeling of the watershed. The results allowed the City to better prioritize projects and refocus its capital improvement plan, saving money.
